For the prevention of apoplexy

MRI can show you not only transverse cutting images of the head but also sagittal, oblique and any angle cutting images. Moreover this machine can reveal brain vessel images without contrast medium. We call this MRA=MR-Angiopraphy. Magnetic power decides the quality of the MRI. This magnetic power is described in units called Tesla. MRI machines sold in Japan are 0.2, 0.5, 1.0, 1.5 Tesla. A 1.5 Tesla MRI is now in Ehime Prefectural Niihama Hospital.　The Following are the MRI and MRA images of a normal human brain, brain arteries and neck arteries. We can discover aneurysms causing subarachnoid hemorrhages and brain and neck artery stenosis causing brain infarction before these diseases occur using MRI and MRA.
MRI exam is not painful and is finished in 30 minutes. Please come to the neurosurgery department if you want to take MRI exam.
